Burnett Medical Center continues to stay up to date with the current guidelines from Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WIDHS). We also work closely with the Burnett County Health Department to ensure our providers and staff have the proper training and materials to help keep the public safe.
Remember, there are important steps individuals can take to help minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19:
- Stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccines.
- Perform proper and frequent hand hygiene.
- Cover coughs and sneezes.
- Stay home when sick.
Effective Monday, April 17th, 2023, masking will be optional for patients, visitors, and employees throughout all areas of the facility. However, we ask that you please defer your visit if you answer 'yes' to any of the following:
In the last 10 days have you been:
- Sick with COVID-19 symptoms or other viral illness,
- Had a positive COVID-19 test,
- OR a close contact with a person with COVID-10
If you said 'yes' to any of the above but need to visit, please wear a mask at all times. Your health and safety are of utmost importance so if wearing a mask provides you with a sense of security, please continue to do so and if you would like a staff member to put on a mask they immediately will.
